Hello everyone!

I'm M@rkusz, Lead Programmer of the game, Tales From a Fella: A new adventure. At the current state of the game, we have a demo version of the game, which we made and debugged in the past month. This project of mine was actually started 3 years ago, as I wanted to make an RPG game, that gives you the feeling of the original advanture games. In this demo there is only 1 quest you can go on, 3 types of enemies, and 5 accessable locations. There are quite a few references, and intended feature-fragments in the demo as well. Our main platform was on GameJolt, but we decided that it wouldn't hurt to share our demo on itch.io as well, since it has larger audiance nowdays. Anyways we hope you will enjoy our demo of the game, and if you do, we would like to see your comments, about your experience. If you find any bugs in the demo still, please leave a comment with a brief explonation, how it occured. Thank you.

Also, I'd like to make a quick Q&A here, to clarify some things:

Q: My Windows defender (usually Windows 10) says it defended my system, and won't let me install the game. Are you trying to give me viruses?!

A: Our installer package does not contain malicious software. Windows defender simply cannot find the company ("M@rkusz Animation Studios") in their databases, so it rather "defends" your system by not running the installer. We know about this problem, but we found it much easier to make an installer to install the files, rather then just making a .zip file. It looks more professional, and works better.

Q: After the texts disappeared, the game crashed with an error, saying that access denied. Did I break it?

A: This issue was present in the older update. Basicly what happened is, that the installer originally installs the game in your main drive's Program Files directory. Since Windows is so protective, a normal user have rights to execute a program there. But since the game creates savefiles in the install directory it needs Write/Append permission, which Windows gracefully denied, and therefore the autosave feature crashed the game. Running the game as Admin gives the game the required permissions to function normally, and fixes the problem. (Your desktop icon is provided with the properties to automatically start the game as Admin)
